Green Cleaning with Vinegar and Baking Soda

I enjoy cleaning. It’s therapy.

But gagging or holding my breath because of the toxic fumes from the commercial cleansers when I’m cleaning is not therapeutic. So, I use all natural, your average household items that I find in the cupboards to clean. What’s my secret?

White vinegar and baking soda!!

They are inexpensive and time tested gem of cleaners. Vinegar has so many uses in our daily lives that you’ll be amazed how we can totally avoid using chemicals for cleaning and for other things in our homes if we only use vinegar. Baking soda has been used in laundry for many years but did you know to use it for cleaning floors, sinks, counter tops, dishes and tubs too?

I use my acrylic scrubbies made just for cleaning hard surfaces like pots, pans, counter tops, sinks, and tubs. With just a little bit of baking soda and vinegar (it’ll bubble – kinda like the volcano we used to make in Middle School science classes), the sink sparkles and the soap scum from the tub will just melt away under the scrubbie. It’ll make cleaning so much faster and pleasant.

What do you use to clean your house?
