You know when you want to buy a red car and the only color cars you see on the road are red cars? Well, now that I know you can recycle filmy plastic bags, all I notice are those big tall recycling bins with circling arrows indicating “Plastic Bags Recycling”. (As I repeatedly make this point, I can hear myself sounding…….uh……stupid. Let me clarify that. I knew I can recycle plastic bags; it’s just that I didn’t know you can recycle those thin flimsy plastic bags too….like toilet paper plastic coverings and dry cleaning bags. You probably knew that already, right? Call me slow.)
I was at the local Barnes and Noble store this morning and guess what I saw. Yep, that big tall
clear bin with green lettering. I was floored! Barnes and Nobles? I was expecting supermarkets to have it but not a bookstore. I grinned and strutted off knowing that recycling fun is spreading. Yes! (…pumping my fist.)
EcoEtsy team’s blog posted this cool map. This interactive map indicates births and deaths that are occurring right now in the world but also how much CO2 is being emitted as we speak. It’s cool but surreal.
I am traveling today and will be away from the computer. I will be thinking about my ERA for the day and I’ll blog about it on Monday. Have a great weekend and continue to do an ERA over the weekend. Let me know how you did.
P.S. This blog is reaching 1000 views today – it’ll probably go over by the time I finish typing. I just want to “Thank You” for having these conversations with me. Continue to visit and chat with me. Let me know how your Carbon footprint has been.
