Valentine’s Day is just four days away. But it’s still not too late to shop for that “love” of your life. Whether it’s your partner, daughter, mother, or a friend, I thought these will make great gifts. These are all from my Etsy shop made with upcycled or recycled materials. The felt material used in the embroidery frame and ornament are from recycled post consumer plastic products, the cotton yarns used in the brooches are upcycled from a sweater, some beads from the napkin rings are from vintage jewelry, and the card is from recycled paper.
The first item, the blue chocolate box, is actually not for sale – I just wanted to show you a way to recycle that chocolate box you might receive from someone this Valentine’s Day. My husband gave me this box of chocolate long time ago and I kept it as a souvenir but also as my earring box. The compartments are perfect sizes for earrings and they keep the earrings from getting tangled. Just another another way to rescue an item that might have been thrown out.
