What brought you to Etsy? Tell us about your shop.
I was making bags to give to family and friends and my daughter told me about Etsy. I decided to try to set up a store. This is a great hobby for me. I use upcycled clothing to create many different items but my primary focus is on creating bags.
How is your shop eco-friendly?
My shop is eco-friendly in as many ways as I am able to make it eco-friendly.
1. I use gently worn clothing to make all of my items.
2. all clothing used for production of any item is washed in an HE washer using cold water and soap nuts which is a totally natural product and does not harm the eco-system in any way.
3. I use recycled whatever I can find for packaging and shipping.
4. My sewing area (actually my whole house) is lighted with CFL’s.
5. My primary product, reusable bags, are great for so many uses and they’re VERY durable. One of my most favorite ways to use them is as gift bags.

Do you sell anywhere else?
occasional craft shows
What’s the favorite item you’ve made so far?
My ‘watch dog’ collar.
What has been the most useful lesson you’ve learned (about Etsy) so far?
Provide the best service possible and treat every customer like a treasure.
How do you see your store developing?
I occasionally come up with different ideas but my primary focus will be providing an affordable and DURABLE alternative to paper/plastic/cheap flimsy store reusable bags.
What have you been doing today that I’ve interrupted?
I just got home from a busy day and checked my Etsy account. There was no interruption of anything. I could use a nap…

Thank you for this feature! I feel honored. It was truly a pleasure.
I love your Fabulous Fridays and really like reading about the other artists and what’s important to them (eco-friendly, etc.).
The bags are really great and different enough on ETSY that I think she should do very well in sales.
Thanks for letting me visit your little blog of the world!
