DIY Halloween

Have you seen all those Halloween Costume centers that pop up every year and are – “POOF” – gone by November 1st?

Have you gone in those stores and feel a headache coming on with all the plastic and polyester smell?

I really can’t walk in those stores without getting nauseous. So, what can I do to avoid all those cheap plastic, fake, disposable, and environmental nightmare for Halloween? Do It Myself (or Yourself)! It’s fun to make things yourself anyway.

So, I found some suppliers (and there are a ton of more suppliers on Etsy) that carry really really adorable things to make this Halloween meaningful and eco-friendly. Check these out. Click on the pictures to the shops and more selections.

The Witching Hour Stencil

This stencil will be so cool to use on a canvas or a rustic old wood plank to make a sign for the front door!

Imagine all kinds of goodies that are in this jar. And when you are done with using the supplies, you can reuse the jar!!

Halloween Fabric

I love this assortment of fabrics. A little quirky and different. Don’t you think?

Costume Patterns

Costume Patterns

The ultimate DIY Halloween with home made costumes. This seller has more patterns for kids and adults for Halloween. Don’t you just love these cute animals?

So, it’s not too late to start decorating or making costumes. You’ll be so proud of yourself for making this year’s Halloween totally YOU and not store bought or cheap or environmental nightmarish – just Halloween chic and unique!!

thanks so much for featuring my jar of goodies! DIY is lots more fun and creative, and your costumes and decorations will last much longer than that plastic junk! Meaning you can reuse them, or even hand them down, rather than toss them after Nov. 1 !

Thanks for featuring one of my patterns on your blog! I’ve hoarded and hoarded patterns for years and it’s time to let them go.
