Dress or jeans?
I prefer jeans to dresses, but sometimes a nice blouse and a long skirt can be comfy too. Of course, I accessorize with my jewelry everyday, except today, I forgot to put my earrings in and I feel naked.

What brought you to Etsy? Tell us about your shop.
A co-worker told me about Etsy. I make handbeaded gemstone and glass jewelry, beaded bookmarks and car jewelry.
How is your shop eco-friendly?
I take beads from thrift shop jewelry and use milk bottle rings and bottle caps to upcycle them into new jewelry creations. Also, I recycle bubble wrap, tissue paper and other packaging material from other Etsy sellers.
At home, we use CFL bulbs and recycle newspapers, glass and aluminum. Recently, I’ve been recycling my newspaper sleeves for a co-worker who crochets with them to make adorable bags.

What’s the favorite item you’ve made so far?
It would be hard for me to pick one favorite item that I’ve made, but my favorite materials to work with are jasper and onyx.

What has been the most useful lesson you’ve learned about Etsy?
The most useful thing I’ve learned about Etsy is to pay it forward, with Tweets, Blogs or mentioning other sellers in threads. Also, I’ve made a few online Etsy buddies who I’ve met at craft shows and we share information on shows, photography, etc. It’s terrific that other people on Etsy want others to succeed and offer tools and advice to do it.
