Green New Year’s Eve Party!

Are you excited about bringing in the new year?

I am.

2010 is going to be a great year for me. And I am going to celebrate it BIG with a party at my house.

So, of course, it’s going to be a “Green Party”!

This is what I am planning to do:

1.Use eVite to invite people. Easy. Quick. Very green.

2. Serve organic champagne. There are so many choices now and the prices are reasonable too.  There is Champagne Carte d’Or Brut from the Organic Wine Company in CA., and a Sparkling Merlot from Heller Estate.

2. Decorate with plastic-free decorations….a simple no – brainer. Yes?

3. Use confetti….from my shredder….to throw in the air when midnight bell rings. It won’t be exactly like the scene in Times Square but good enough for my party.

4. Serve organic appetizers.

5. Light the mood with soy candles. It will be nice and intimate with soy candles flickering. No need for electricity.

6. Serve filtered tap water and no plastic bottled water or soda.

7. Tell people that it’s going to be a green party and have them bring a “green” suggestion or an item.

8. Go around the room and have each person say one green resolution (don’t like that word),  plan he or she is going to have for 2010.

As I prepare for the BIG celebration tomorrow, I just want to thank you for being a faithful reader, follower, and a support of my little blog. It was a busy year for me after the move here and I couldn’t have done it without your support. I hope you stay with me as we go through the green journey together and discover what we can do to make a difference.

I am formulating my thoughts for the new year’s plans and will be back here to let you know what they are in January.

Until then, have a safe New Year’s Eve and drink responsibly.
