Ecokaren Will Be On The Joy Cardin Radio Show

Oh, my. I hope Wisconsinites are ready. For me, that is.

I will be on The Joy Cardin Show, a public radio show hosted by none other than, Joy Cardin.

What am I going to talk about? How to achieve world peace.

No, I’m kidding. I mean, I could but I’d be doing Dalai Lama’s job. No, I’m going to talk about “How to save energy during winter and save money.” OK, so not as exciting as achieving world peace but at least achieving peace in our wallets in the winter.

Originally the producer of the show wanted to interview one of the guest writers from Green Living Ideas, where I am the editor. But the writer declined and sold me out, introduced me to the producer since I am the editor.

So guess what I’m doing today? I’m learning about Wisconsin winter. And man, I do not want to live there during the winter! It gets bloody COLD up there!! Average temperature in the winter is 16.6º F!!

Look at the graphs.

Do your notice something besides how COLD it is? Look at the trend of the temperatures in the last 30 years.

The winters and summers have been getting warmer.

So even though the average temperature in the winter might still be more frigid compared to other parts of the country, it has been getting warmer compared to its past history. Who says global warming doesn’t exist?

Anyway, I know this is a short notice but if you want to tune in, you can hear the show live here. If you want to call in and support me (no hecklers allowed!), especially when I’m stumbling for words, then, you can call 800-642-1234 from 9-10AM EST TOMORROW, Tuesday Nov. 8th.

Catch you in the air! (Do people say that? Well, they should.)
