Hope you had a magical Christmas, filled with laughter and joy. Hope you spent the weekend with loved ones and had a moment to reflect on what was important this past year.
For my family, it was quiet times with just immediate family, without traveling to places near and far.
It was a cozy weekend with minimal fuss with lots of great food and baked goodies to indulge ourselves with.
… which gave me a chance to plan for next year, in my mind.
And that is what 2012 should be … mindful.
You get so busy with every day chores and demands. You talk without listening. You eat without tasting. You look without seeing.
You do them mindlessly. Automatically. Like traveling on a road that you are so familiar with that you don’t know how you got to the destination. You don’t enjoy the journey.
You suddenly realize it’s December 31st.
But in 2012, I hope you will see, listen, and enjoy the journey.
I hope you will slow down to experience every step of the journey.
I hope you’ll be inspired in the process.
I hope you will BE the inspiration.
I hope you will be mindful in 2012.
