What’s Christmas without stockings, right? We used to put little gifts for 12 days leading up to Christmas when the kids were young. They’d run down to check the stockings every morning, as if it’s Christmas morning. And I’ll be honest, the kids never noticed the stockings for their beauty. They just shoved their short arms and reached down to see what were in them. But sadly, now that they are older, that tradition went away by the way side and the stockings are truly for decoration now.
I was going to show my tutorial on making Christmas stockings but found these wonderful easy tutorials…from Tip Junkie above and by Diary of a Quilter below. Why re-invent the wheel, right?
Visit her blog and see the step-by-step instructions with gorgeous pictures.
Meanwhile, I am in love with these stockings.
Loving the burlap and lace.
This wins my upcycling heart. And it’s personalized! Lynn has instructions on how to make it so check it out.
And what do you put in these stockings? Check out Ecowomen.Net. They have lots of great ideas.
