Day 13: 24 Days of Green Christmas Crafts – Paper Leaf Wreath

Remember the poinsettia wreath made out of toilet paper tubes on the Day 1 of this series?

Even since I saw the wreath, I have been fiddling around with my collection of toilet paper tubes to make something out of them. At first, I thought I can make some words out of them and insert christmas lights in the holes to light them up, like a billboard. But the tubes were too weak to hold the lights.

So I decided to make this simple leaf wreath. You’ll need a lot of toilet paper tubes or paper towel tubes, if you still – ahem – use paper towel.

Cut the tubes one to two inches wide with scissors. Then, arrange the leaves around something circular, like a plate. Then, hot glue the pieces, one layer at a time. until you reach the desire diameter and the thickness.

Add some bows and you got a wreath! Being that it’s made of paper, this wreath will stay inside the house.

And you thought you had no use for those tubes! Now you can make two wreaths out of them!

See you tomorrow on Day 14!
