Equal Exchange’s Holiday Giveaway

This giveaway is so awesome that I HAD to tell you about it today. Consider it my Black Friday deal for you. Yippee!!

If you need coffee or know someone who would appreciate coffee for the holiday, I have a great deal to tell you from Equal Exchange. Equal Exchange is sponsoring a giveaway of this Good Morning Gift Basket. But you have to hurry. You have to enter by tomorrow, November 26.

Just to refresh your memory on how how great they are…here is an excerpt from my last years’ review.

Equal Exchange’s mission is “to build long-term trade partnerships that are economically just and environmentally sound, to foster mutually beneficial relationships between farmers and consumers and to demonstrate, through our success, the contribution of worker co-operatives and Fair Trade to a more equitable, democratic and sustainable world.” Their domestic co-op organic farmers are from California, Massachusetts, Wisconsin and Georgia. All are family farmers with commitment to their communities, quality products, nutritious crop and responsible farming methods.

Given all the morally and ethically right reasons why they are in the food business, and the quality of the goods that they produced based on what I (my family) tasted so far, I think Equal Exchange is truly an honorable organization. The cooperative concept works and it is thriving, adding more farmers to its growing number of cooperative communities they already have. And what I like the best about their products is the prices. I always thought Fair Trade means expensive prices. But that’s not the case with Equal Exchange. Their prices are competitive with non-Fair Trade and while some things might be slightly higher, I can appreciate the benefits of paying a few dollars extra for fine quality products.

Can you tell how I LOVE this company and their products? So, I am hear to tell that they are having,

Free Shipping for over $75…

That’s right. Equal Exchange is offering FREE shipping for orders over $75 until end of November. Use the discount code freegiftship when you order any gift baskets by the end of the month.

AWESOME giveaway! I try and only buy organic and fair-trade products. I am a full-time colege student, so affording these items can sometimes be a struggle, but WINNING these items would be an amazinmg BLESSING. THANKS so much for the opportunity!

I am thanks-full for everything! My husband who is so generous and giving, my friends who never fail to provide a laugh, my family that is always there to remind me of where I come from, the fact that I have a roof over my head and thermostat to push up in these very cold months, the physical ability to exercise every day, coffee in the mornings, the sunshine when it shows itself, a talent to share with the world…I could keep going but you get the idea…grateful for the ability to be grateful! Thanks for this opportunity Karen (more thanks!), I hope your Thanksgiving was a wonderful time :-)

I’m thankful for my online community of greenies and cat lovers, including the people on Twitter who urged me back in January to take a chance on blind, unfriendly cat. I’m thankful for my spouse, who puts up with a lot (I’m so not marriage material), and for the pace of my life that allows time for me to pursue my interests. Oh, and I’m thankful the dentist didn’t find any cavities yesterday. Thank goodness for the little things in life!
