How to ask for a product review
I come across so many wonderful green products that are inexpensive and very good for the environment these days. But they can be confusing as to their value and quality. I am providing product reviews here as a service to my readers and also to help those budding entrepreneurs or artists who make handmade items in their studios to gain more exposure. And may be you are a big company that might have just unveiled a new line of eco friendly products that will “knock-our-green-socks-off” and want your educated consumers to learn about them. If you have that “knock-my- green- socks-off” kind of a product or a “diamond in the rough” product, I would love to shout out for you.
But here are some things you should know…
I am a wife to a techy husband and a Mom to two teenagers (and a fur baby who loves organic kibbles) so if I see that your product is NOT family friendly or does not fit my blog’s image, I have the right to refuse your request. Also, if your product does not work properly or is not very user friendly or not so eco-friendly, I have the right to refuse it and not write a review on it. In addition, the review I write will be my opinion and not of anyone else’s. It should not be considered as a professional advice and if you have a specific question about a product, you should consult the company directly or if it’s related to a medical question, you should consult your physician.
I will keep the products or what’s left over of the products as I don’t think you’d want almost empty bottles or leftover of the stuff I used to test, regardless whether I am going to post the review or not. Also, I don’t want to get paid with green dollars for my reviews – that would be wrong. I think getting paid for a product review would be considered a conflict of interest and I would not want to be swayed in any way. However, if you’d like your customers to know what I said about your wonderful goodies, you can put a link on your website to my review here so that they can read what I had to say.
Simple enough, yes? For more on my disclosure policy, go to my “Disclosure Policy” page under “About” tab.
You can request a product review in two ways.
Two Methods:
1) Request a product review with a giveaway (the most effective way to gain exposure)
2) Request a product review without a giveaway (still, a great way to let the public know how great product is)

Have a beautiful green day!
